Dec 19, 2016

cloud.config Portal, the service that allows you to grasp Azure billing at any time, and manage cloud usage fess for the first time in Japan, is now available via AppSouce. A new service provided by FIXER Inc. enables users to perform the previously difficult task of checking public cloud usage fees at any time.

FIXER Inc. (HQ: Minato, Tokyo; President and CEO: Seiichi Matsuoka; hereinafter "FIXER") has begun providing a service called cloud.config Portal via AppSource, a platform for providing SaaS-type services to business users, which was announced by Microsoft this July. cloud.config Portal is the first service provided to the Japanese market that allows users to check and manage their Microsoft Azure (hereinafter "Azure") usage fees at any time.

cloud.config Portal

cloud.config Portal is a system that allows anyone to easily check their cloud usage situation (consumption and fees). In response to the demands of many customers, this system was developed by FIXER, which has a record of developing and constructing cloud systems as a cloud service vendor, developing specialized full managed service businesses, and performing many cases of Azure introduction. cloud.config Portal helps to prevent shadow IT associated with cloud usage, reduce the burden of system operation on administrators, and optimize IT costs associated with accounting and settlement tasks.

Users can also consolidate information about multiple subscriptions according to their needs, and carry out unified management by department, by service, or by project, for example. Because this service is provided via AppSource, customers all over the world can begin using the service right away, with no need to perform complicated registration procedures. FIXER also provides a free trial version, which users can easily try out via AppSource.

Note that, although cloud.config Portal can be used by customers who have an Enterprise Agreement or a Cloud Service Provider agreement for Azure, the version currently provided via AppSource is for Enterprise Agreement customers. FIXER plans to provide a version of cloud.config Portal for Cloud Service Provider customers via AppSource in the near future.

FIXER plans to continue its efforts to create new value by combining the functionality provided by Azure with cutting-edge technologies such as AI and machine learning, and to continue to provide impressive services to its customers. FIXER has received the following endorsement from Microsoft Japan regarding this announcement.

■ Akihiro Takahashi, Executive General Manager and Executive Officer, Microsoft Japan

Microsoft Japan extends a warm welcome to the cloud.config Portal service, which FIXER has begun providing as the first service of its kind in Japan. AppSource is a new service that allows business users to search for, try, and install SaaS apps for mission-critical tasks provided by Microsoft and Microsoft's partners over a website.

We feel strongly that FIXER's early adoption of this new business model for the provision of its applications has great value in terms of support for the Azure business. In addition, because it allows users to manage a variety of Azure services at once and to acquire information in real time, we believe that this new service, cloud.config Portal, is a highly valuable service that will allow corporate users to make more effective use of Azure. Microsoft Japan plans to continue to collaborate with FIXER to support digital transformations that bring new value to our customers' businesses.
